1Scope and agreement

These Terms apply whenever you visit, register for, sign in to or otherwise use the BadFellas website, browser game, community features, support channels and related services. “BadFellas”, “the service”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator identified above; “you” means the person using the service.

By creating an account or continuing to use BadFellas after a clearly notified effective date, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account and stop using the service. Mandatory consumer and statutory rights always prevail where they cannot lawfully be limited by contract.

Feature-specific rules, event rules and interface instructions may supplement these Terms. They do not remove mandatory rights or authorize conduct that these Terms prohibit.

2Age and eligibility

BadFellas is intended for users aged 16 or older. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Users aged 16 or 17 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian where local law requires it.

The game uses fictional themes involving organized crime, violence, illegal trade and simulated casino play. These themes exist only inside the game and do not encourage real-world criminal, violent or gambling activity.

3Accounts, credentials and characters

• Provide a valid, reachable email address and keep it under your control.
• Keep your password secret, use a unique password and never send it to staff or other players.
• Accounts are personal. Do not sell, rent, lend, share, transfer or let another person operate your account.
• The current account structure permits no more than three living characters per email account. Do not use extra accounts, email addresses, devices or other methods to evade that limit, sanctions or fair-play controls.
• Each character has separate progress, inventory, cash, crew status, timers and history unless a feature expressly says otherwise.
• Usernames must not impersonate staff or third parties, infringe rights, contain unlawful content or expose personal information.

A dead character profile may remain visible as part of BadFellas history, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection rights. Report suspected unauthorized access immediately through the Contact page or service@badfellas.nl.

4Limited licence and intellectual property

For as long as you comply with these Terms, BadFellas grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the service for non-commercial entertainment through a normal supported web browser.

The service, software, databases, interfaces, artwork, text, logos, game design, protected mechanics and compiled game data belong to the operator or its licensors. You receive no ownership interest in the service or in virtual game assets.

Except where mandatory law expressly permits it, you may not copy, sell, sublicense, mirror, frame, republish, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile or commercially exploit BadFellas, or circumvent its access controls and technical protections.

5Fair play and prohibited use

Competition is permitted only through the ordinary game interface and the same server-side rules that apply to everyone. The following conduct is prohibited:

• bots, scripts, macros, auto-clickers, modified clients, unauthorized APIs or other automation;
• exploiting bugs, timing defects, race conditions, duplicate requests, incorrect prices, negative balances or other unintended behaviour;
• manipulating requests, sessions, command tokens, client-side state or network traffic;
• account sharing, ban evasion, coordinated stat feeding, fixed outcomes, artificial leaderboard inflation, collusion or virtual-asset laundering;
• unauthorized access, probing, scraping, denial-of-service activity, malware, phishing, credential theft or interference with another user or the service;
• using information obtained through a security issue for gameplay advantage instead of reporting it.

Security-sensitive detection methods, probabilities and internal anti-abuse logic do not have to be disclosed where disclosure would undermine safety or game integrity.

6Persistent game world and gameplay risk

BadFellas is a persistent multiplayer world. Intended gameplay can result in failed crimes, cooldowns, jail, injury, hospital time, robbery, character death, loss of cash or items, market movements, changes in ownership, crew consequences and historical records.

These outcomes are part of the game and do not create a right to compensation merely because they are disadvantageous. Server-side records determine the official game state. Screenshots, local browser displays and private arrangements between players do not override the accepted server transaction.

7Virtual assets, no real-world value and no cash-out

Cash, poker chips, bullets, drugs, vehicles, equipment, stocks, properties, crew assets, rankings, experience, titles and every other game resource are virtual features licensed for use inside BadFellas. They are not money, electronic money, securities, investments or property that you own outside the service.

Virtual assets cannot be redeemed, withdrawn or exchanged for money, cryptocurrency, goods or services. Buying, selling or trading accounts or virtual assets outside BadFellas is prohibited. The present version is free to access and does not sell real-money gameplay value. Any future paid feature would require separate, clear information and any legally required additional terms before purchase.

8Simulated casino and poker features

Casino games, poker, horse racing and similar mechanics use only virtual game balances. No real-money stake, real-world prize or cash-out is offered. Results affect only the voluntary game world.

Do not use private off-platform payments or side bets connected to a BadFellas result. If such conduct is reported, BadFellas may investigate and apply account measures even though it is not a party to the outside arrangement.

9Player-driven markets, ownership and transactions

Prices, stock, auctions, properties, trades and multiplayer decisions may be influenced by other players and can change over time. Review the displayed amount, item, counterparty and consequences before submitting an action.

A transaction becomes final when the server validates and records it, unless it is reversed to correct a bug, duplicate, security incident, fraud, unlawful conduct or manifest technical error. BadFellas may restore, remove or rebalance virtual records when reasonably necessary to preserve an accurate and fair game state.

10System-operated characters and automated gameplay

Some game accounts, characters, market participants or events may be operated or scheduled by BadFellas systems rather than by an individual human player. They may support the availability, testing, pacing or continuity of the game world and remain subject to server-side controls.

BadFellas does not have to disclose individual system identities, schedules, probabilities or security-sensitive behaviour where that would expose anti-abuse controls or undermine gameplay. Automated game outcomes have effects only inside the service and do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you in the real world.

11User content

You retain any intellectual-property rights you hold in content that you submit, such as profile text, images, forum posts, crew content, messages, advertisements, articles and replies. You grant BadFellas a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, format, display, transmit, moderate and back up that content only as needed to operate, secure and promote the relevant service features.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for anything you submit. External images and links remain subject to the third party's terms and privacy practices. Deleted content may remain temporarily in backups, audit evidence, quoted replies or legally required records.

12Community standards

In-game rivalry does not justify real-world harm. Do not post or send content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, fraudulent, defamatory, privacy-invasive or designed to intimidate. Doxxing, credible threats, impersonation of staff, phishing, spam, malware and disclosure of credentials or private communications are prohibited.

Do not publish another person's address, telephone number, private email, financial information, login data or other confidential information without a valid legal basis and permission where required.

13Reports, moderation and appeals

Report suspected illegal content, abuse or a rule violation through Contact or service@badfellas.nl. Include the relevant username, URL or location, date, explanation and available evidence. Never send a password.

BadFellas may review, hide, remove, preserve or restrict content and may warn, mute, suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, law, fair play or game integrity. Serious matters may be referred to competent authorities.

You may request a review of a moderation or enforcement decision through the same contact channel. Where the Digital Services Act or another law applies, BadFellas will provide the information, statement of reasons and complaint options required by that law.

14Security, bugs, audits and corrections

Report vulnerabilities and unintended behaviour privately and do not exploit, disclose or trade them. BadFellas may preserve logs, temporarily restrict functions, terminate sessions and require additional verification while investigating a security event.

When an error creates, duplicates, removes or transfers virtual value incorrectly, BadFellas may correct the affected records and related transactions. Corrections should be proportionate, documented where appropriate and limited to restoring a fair and technically accurate state.

15Updates, balancing and service changes

BadFellas is actively developed. Features, interfaces, probabilities, timers, rewards, prices, rank requirements, item effects, markets and balancing may change for security, fairness, sustainability, legal compliance or gameplay quality.

Reasonable care will be taken with legitimate progress, but no specific feature, strategy, market condition, reward rate or virtual advantage is guaranteed to remain permanently unchanged. Security and compatibility updates may be required to keep using the service safely.

16Availability, maintenance and digital-service conformity

BadFellas aims to provide a secure and functional service but cannot promise uninterrupted, latency-free or error-free access. Maintenance, updates, hosting or network failures, attacks, high load and events outside reasonable control may cause temporary interruption.

Use a supported, current browser and do not block technology that is technically necessary for authentication and security. If the service fails to meet a mandatory legal standard, you retain any remedy that applicable consumer law gives you and nothing in these Terms removes that right.

17Suspension, termination and account closure

You may stop playing at any time and may request account closure through Contact. BadFellas may reasonably verify your identity before acting on a closure request.

Access may be limited, suspended or terminated for a material breach, repeated harmful conduct, fraud, account compromise, ban evasion, a serious security risk, manipulation of the virtual economy or a legal obligation. Where appropriate, BadFellas may first issue a warning or allow correction; urgent or serious cases may require immediate action.

When access ends, the licence to use the service ends. Virtual assets do not create a right to payment, transfer or compensation. Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

18Privacy and personal data

The Privacy Policy explains what personal data BadFellas processes, why it is used, how long it is kept, who may receive it and which rights you have. Do not place real-world personal or sensitive information in a public username, profile, forum, chat or other field unless you intend and are permitted to disclose it.

These Terms do not constitute consent for processing that legally requires separate, freely given and specific consent.

19Liability and force majeure

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct where exclusion is prohibited and mandatory consumer remedies.

To the extent permitted by law, BadFellas is responsible only for direct, reasonably foreseeable loss caused by a proven attributable failure after a reasonable opportunity to remedy it. Intended virtual gameplay loss, missed virtual opportunities, changes in ranking, reputation or market position and loss caused by your account sharing, unsafe password use or prohibited software are not compensable real-world damage merely because they occur in the game.

BadFellas is not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including major internet or power outages, essential infrastructure failure, cyberattack despite appropriate measures, natural disaster, war, government action or comparable force majeure.

20Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated for changes in law, security, abuse prevention, technology, features or the service. The current version and effective date will be published on this page. Material changes will be communicated clearly and, where required, with reasonable advance notice or renewed acceptance.

Urgent changes may take effect sooner where necessary to address law, fraud, security or an unforeseen operational risk. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the service and request account closure before it takes effect.

21Complaints, governing law and final provisions

Questions, complaints and appeals may be sent through Contact or to service@badfellas.nl. Include a clear description, relevant dates, your username and supporting material; never include your password.

Dutch law governs these Terms. If you are a consumer who normally lives elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protection that the law of your country of residence does not allow a contract to remove. Disputes may be brought before any court that mandatory law makes competent.

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver. This English text is the governing published version unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
